Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve a homicide. Rayne Police are investigating a shooting incident which has left one man dead. The incident occurred early Saturday morning, March 28, at approximately 1:50 a.m. at Frog City Travel Plaza and it is believed people may have witnessed this shooting.

Shea Bertrand has spent a good chunk of his young life helping others. He has helped his parents raise his two younger, autistic siblings, even serving as their home-school teacher. He has participated in mission trips. Now, he’s hoping to embark on a different kind of trip and educational experience.
After the passing of Acadia Parish School Board Member Israel Syria on March 19, the board will look to find a temporary resolution to the vacancy left and a permanent one during a special session Wednesday, April 1.
