RAYNE - As the 2023 football season begins tomorrow for the Rayne High Wolves, they were able to face off with someone other than their teammates on Thursday, Aug.
Under the direction of defensive coach Dannie Harmon (middle of action), members of the Rayne High’s defenders of the 2023 Wolves Football Team work on defensive plays early Tuesday morning during the summer workouts held on campus as they prepare for the upcoming season. The Wolves are readying for a home scrimmage on Thursday, Aug. 17, when they will host Iota High School, followed by the annual Acadia-Vermilion Jamboree on Friday, Aug. 25, at North Vermilion when they take on the hosts. ACADIA PARISH – The beginning of August signals the start of high school football practice with area teams prepping for their upcoming seasons.
Rayne High School football season and jamboree tickets can be purchased in the school’s front office as announced by RHS Head Coach Kaine Guidry.
RAYNE - The month of May at most schools equates to the home stretch to the school year, boxing up books and computers, and clearing out the classrooms/deaks for the summer break.
