On Tuesday, Feb. 10, during a students of the Rayne High School Band were surprised to learn they were the recipients of a donation from the Tipitina's Foundation. Rayne High is the first in the Lafayette region and 95th school in the state to receive a donation since the formation of the foundation.

Rotarian David Savoie finally had the opportunity to do a program he has “been wanting to do” for quite some time. It started with Savoie taking Rotarians back to the year 1938. He began the program by setting the scene through the oration of a typical radio broadcast that depicted the landscape of the world through news and sports.
The weather did Relay For Life no favors Monday night, but with that, Relay For Life of Acadia Parish 2015 organizers have extended their special giveaway. Now, anyone who registers for the event for the remainder of February is entered to win one of several gift certificates to Old Tyme Café in Crowley.
