Motorists are urged to avoid the I-10 section between Rayne and Crowley (mile marker 85) due to a number of crashes involving numerous vehicles, including a number of 18-wheelers which occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
A homecoming after-party Saturday in Jennings ended with several juveniles hospitalized after a fight erupted involving a number of students from Acadia Parish.
The Rayne Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will host two nights of political forums for local candidates on Monday, Oct. 6, and Wednesday, Oct. 8.Originally, the Chamber had set aside three nights for the candidate forums.

Hudl.com is changing prep football preparations

Crowley High School will celebrate Homecoming 2014 with the theme “Ladies and Gents: Greater Than Gatsby.”

Mire provides ‘Images’ book teaser to Rotarians

Mire presented a program on her newly published book that definitely appeared to pique the interest of the Rotarians as a group eagerly awaited a chance to purchase copies after the meeting.

Crowley High School’s 2014 Homecoming Court was treated to an afternoon Mother-Daughter Tea, hosted by Myrtle Cain in the school’s F.A.C.S. department, Sunday, Sept. 21.
