Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church for Dianna Y. Yokum, 60, who passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009. Services will be conducted by Fr. Richard Wagner, S.S.J. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Yokum of Rayne; one daughter, Georgette Yokum; four grandchildren, Payton Yokum, Landon Yokum, Saije Yokum and Zydas Yokum, all of Channelview, TX: mother, Selena J. Young of Rayne; one sister, Loretta Figaro (Harrison Sr.) of Rayne; three brothers, Eddie Young, Sr. (Ella Faye) of Rayne, Curley Young, Sr. (Margaret) of Crowley and Johnny Young (Verna) of Lafayette; ; six godchildren, Eddie Young, Jr. of Baton Rouge, Harrison Figaro, Jr. of Beaumont, TX, Shalandra Price of Rayne, Marlon Harmon, Blaine Harmon and Selena Figaro, all of Rayne; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Young; maternal grandparents, Onezia Johnson and Johnny Johnson; and paternal grandparents, Edward Young and Ophelia Mouton Young.

Visitation will be observed Thursday, April 23, at Syrie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Friday beginning at 7 a.m. until time of service.
