Police investigating robbery at Iberia Bank
A second bank robbery in less than two weeks was reported here Wednesday.
At around 12:30 p.m., police were called to Iberia Bank at the corner of East Sixth Street and North Parkerson Avenue.
The person of interest, described as a young white man, left the bank on foot and was detained minutes later about four blocks away.
Police have not yet released the name of the suspected robber.
On Wednesday, March 6, a still-unidentified, unarmed black man walked into Bank of Commerce in Crowley and demanded money from the teller.
Police are still investigating that crime.
