The Notre Dame Pios celebrate following their 7-2 victory over the St. Charles Catholic Comets in the Division III state championship game Friday evening at Sulphur’s McMurry Park. The victory gave the Pios their second state baseball title in three years and their fourth overall in school history.
In the biggest game of the season, Notre Dame coach Chris Stevens handed the ball to senior southpaw Will Vice and the Pios’ ace didn’t disappoint.

Notre Dame’s Nicholas Gautreaux brought home the state title in the discus during the weekend’s Class 2A State Track and Fild Championships held at LSU’s Bernie Moore Stadium.
A number of Rayne High student-athletes have been named to the All-Academic Award Program for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Notre Dame Pios dogpile in celebration Wednesday after claiming a 3-2 victory in extra innings over St. Thomas Aquinas in the Division III semifinals at Sulphur’s McMurry Park.
The Pios will take on No. 2 St. Charles at 6 p.m. today on Field 40 for the state championship.
As the norm for Notre Dame and games at McMurry Park, Wednesday’s Division III semifinal contest between the top-seeded Pios and No. 4 St. Thomas Aquinas was a battle to the end.
