Escorted by her father, Alton Allen, the bride was beautiful in a white organza and lace dress by Oleg Cassini. The strapless gown featured an intricately detailed corset bodice, beaded Venise lace appliqués and a dramatic ruffled skirt that flowed into a chapel length train.
The bride paired her gown with a white two tier veil edged with stunning point lace, and she carried a unique cascading bouquet made by hand of pearls, crystals and brooches with a photograph of her late maternal grandmother attached.
In keeping with tradition, Shannon wore a ring from her late maternal grandmother as “something old,” while her wedding dress was “something new.” A handkerchief from her late paternal grandmother was “something borrowed” and her garter was “something blue.”
Andrea Guillory and Kimberly Pittman, friends of the bride, served as matron and maid of honor, respectively.
Bridesmaids were Tayla Soileau-Benoit and Brandi Gantt, cousins of the bride, and Angela Lawson, sister of the groom.
The bridal attendants were clad in lovely coral floor length gowns with lace bodices, grosgrain ribbons defining the natural waists and dramatic side slits.
Each attendant carried a calla lily tied with ribbon.
Kimora Trahan, friend of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. She wore a white dress with a tank bodice and ruffled organza skirt that matched the bride’s gown.
The groom selected his father, Frederick Lawson, to serve as his best man. Standing as groomsmen were Colby Gantt, cousin of the bride, and Dwayne Hollier and D’Quan Bennett, friends of the bride.
Paul Filer, friend of the bride’s father, Chester Spencer, cousin of the bride, and Osmund Woolridge, uncle of the bride, served as ushers.

Following the wedding, family and friends of the couple gathered for an on-site reception at the Grand Marais.

The groom’s cake was a two-layer chocolate confection decorated with motorcycles.
Out-of-town guests traveled from California, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas and various points throughout Louisiana.
On the evening prior to the wedding, Tim and Gloria Hayes, friends of the bride’s mother, hosted a rehearsal dinner in Jennings. Guests at the dinner enjoyed sliced turkey, double-stuffed potatoes, green beans, green salads, rolls and tea.
