John Warner Smith named new state poet laureate
The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) and Governor John Bel Edwards have announced that Louisiana’s newest poet laureate is John Warner Smith.

Approximately 200 middle and high school students and parents turned out for the Fourth Annual Back to School Readiness Seminar held Friday, Aug. 9.
