7 new faces on Acadia Police Jury

The Acadia Parish Police Jury will have seven new faces when it is seated in January.
Seven of the eight seats on the parish council were contested in Saturday’s elections and clear winners were named in all seven, according to complete but unofficial returns Saturday night.
Only District 5 incumbent Jimmie Pellerin is returning to the parish governing panel.
Pellerin won his re-election bid by holding off challenger James “J” Ancelet.

The seat is now occupied by Robert Guidry, the third incumbent not seeking a return.
