Brian Mouton is chairman of the Parade, and is encouraging businesses, schools organizations, civic and church organizations, dance troupes, school bands, elected officials, political candidates, city and area royalty, and area Mardi Gras Krewes to participate.
“The first two years were successful, and unfortunately last year’s event had to be cancelled due to weather,” stated Chamber Executive Director Fran Bihm. “We’re thinking positive that this year’s parade will be even bigger and better than in previous years. Let’s show everyone they don’t have to travel outside Acadia Parish to enjoy a family friendly and safe Mardi Gras Parade on this date. The committee can plan it, but it takes everyone to participate to make it a success.”
