Mire VFD schedules fundraiser, poker run

The Mire Volunteer Fire Department will host its annual fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, at the Rayne Civic Center.
Live entertainment will be enjoyed between noon and midnight with no cover charge.
Providing entertainment will be Colby Latiolais (1-3 p.m.), Dustin Sonnier (4-6 p.m.), Horace Trahan & The Ossun Express (7-9 p.m.) and Jaryd Lane & The Parish (9:30-11:30 p.m.).
A pork jambalaya dinner sale will be sold for lunch time for an $8 per plate donation.
A cake sale will also be held with a noon start time. Make sure to purchase a sweet treat.
Refreshments will be served between noon and midnight, in addition to live and silent auctions, BBQ burgers and fun jumps for the little ones.

Held in conjunction with the annual fundraiser, a poker run will be held Saturday, March 16. Sign-up time is 8 a.m. and kickstands go up at 9 a.m.
