On Friday morning, Firefighters from the Crowley Fire Department, the Crowley Police Department and Acadian Ambulance worked the scene of a three-vehicle accident — two cars and one truck — at the intersection of La. Hwy. 13 and the Egan Highway. Only minor injuries were reported in the crash, and no one was transported to the hospital.

Units of the Rayne Police Department and Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office were on the scene at Rayne High School the morning of Thursday, Sept. 22, when a hoax robo-call was made to the school, part of a nation-wide verbal threat of an active shooter on the campus.
