Construction contracts for roads and restrooms were among topics drawing some discussion when committees of the Crowley City Council met earlier this week.
The Acadia Parish Chamber of Commerce will host the annual “State of the Parish” luncheon on Wednesday, March 6, in Le Grand Hall of The Grand Opera House of the South.

Faculty, staff and students at North Crowley Elementary School gathered recently to recognize and honor School Counselor Josie Fontenot, seated front and center, for her 25 years at the school and 39 years in the field of education. Fontenot was presented a number of gifts in honor of School Counselors Week.
FFA and 4-H members from schools across Acadia Parish converged upon Crowley Jan. 18-20 for the annual Junior Livestock Show and Sale.
