A Lafayette woman died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in Acadia.
ACADIA PARISH - One person was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 East near mile marker 68 in Acadia Parish.
CROWLEY - One man was killed and two others injured in a drive-by shooting here Friday night.
Police Chief Jimmy Broussard said the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. March 25 in the 700 block of West 10th Street near Western Avenue.
Officers arrived to find three men injured. All three were transported to area hospitals.
Jamond Ledet, 26, later died of his injuries, Broussard said.
The other two victims were treated and have since been released from the hospital.
Broussard said investigators have identified “persons of interest” in the shooting, but the incident remains under investigation.
