Debra Louise Babineaux

MIRE - Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at a 1:00 pm Gossen Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Debra Louise Babineaux, 65, who died Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette.

Interment will be in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Mire.

Deacon Denis LaCroix with St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, will conduct the funeral services.

Survivors include her sister, Marie Babineaux Smith and spouse Kenneth of Vatican; brother, Daniel Babineaux of Mire; three sisters-in-law, Flora Blanchard Babineaux of Mire, Donna Jenkins Babineaux of Idaho, and Dot Baudoin Babineaux of Mire; numerous nieces and nephews; and two special friends, GiGi Harvey and Chris Vidrine, both of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Babineaux; mother, Gertie Leger Babineaux; sister, Norma Babineaux Richard; and three brothers, Patrick Babineaux, Richard Babineaux, Carroll Babineaux and spouse Theresa Daigle Babineaux.

Pallbearers will be Lyle Smith, Scott Smith, Lee Babineaux, Ryan Babineaux, Sam Babineaux and Damon Strother. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Babineaux, and Kenneth Smith.

The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, on Saturday, February 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Debra's family would like to give a special thanks to her caregivers and staff at CARC Agency in Lake Charles, Barbara McDowell, Carol Jackson, Sister Mary and CARC Case Manager Kaylee M. Lee.
