Donald Lee Smith

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Donald Lee Smith, 75, who died Nov. 26, 2018. in Iota.
Rev. James Vernon Cart, pastor of Iota Baptist Church, will be officiating for the services.
The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley.
Donald started in 1987 as the sales manager for Shetler-Corley Motors in Crowley and retired there in 2014. He was also dedicated member of the Iota-Egan Lions Clubs.
His pastimes were traveling, fishing, hunting, his camp on Toledo Bend, but his favorite was spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by wife of 47 years, Rebecca M. Smith of Iota; four sons, Lance Gregory Simmons and wife Michelle of Friendswood, Texas, Donnie Smith and wife Leatha of Iota, Joshua Smith and wife Tammy of Iota, and Adam Smith and wife Carin of Iota; one sister, Sheila Smith Ray and husband Odean of Shreveport; three brothers, Phillip Smith and wife Marie of St. Amant, Mark Smith of Crowley, and Mike Smith and wife Karen of Crowley; and eight grandchildren.
Mr. Smith is preceded death by his parents, Elzie and Iris Mitchell Smith.
