Ella Gary Taylor

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 4, at 2 p.m. in the Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Ella Gary Taylor, 93, who died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, in Lafayette.
Rev. Fred Fraser, associate pastor of First United Methodist Church of Lafayette will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours be held Saturday, Dec. 3, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley. Interment will be in Maxie Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughter, Ella Griffith of Lafayette; five grandchildren, Rebecca Millet, Christina Griffith, Deborah Lamkin, John Thomas Griffin and Emil Griffin; and three great-grandchildren, Stephen Millet, Walker Lamkin and Ava Lamkin.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Asa Taylor; her daughter, Elizabeth Griffin; her parents, Lucien and Julia Landry Gary; her sister, Marie Dupuis; two half-brothers Clophas Gary and Andre Gary; and one son-in-law Nolen D. Griffith Jr.
