Percy Joseph Castille Sr.
Rayne--Funeral services for Percy Joseph Castille, Sr., 85, of Rayne will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne. Pastor Melvin Finley will officiate. Interment will follow in Arceneaux Cemetery, Rayne.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Mr. Castille passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in a Lafayette hospital.
A lifelong resident of the Rayne area, Mr. Castille was a Catholic by faith. He worked for many years as a welder for Dupont Manufacturing and for Green's Manufacturing. He enjoyed hunting, hand fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons, Wayne Castille and wife, Emma of Rayne, Calvin Castille of Rayne, and Allen Castille and wife, Christy of Church Point; daughters, Ella Castille Arsement and husband, Stephen of Lafayette, and Janet Castille Grimball and husband, James of Zachary; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Castille of Rayne; Brothers, Lurcy Castille and wife, Kitty of Roberts Cove, and Walter Castille of Rayne; sisters, Sybil Lyons of Rayne, Donatile Moore of Vinton, and Mary Jane Dugas of Rayne; grandchildren, Michael Castille, Jr. and wife, Stacy, Skeet Castille, Kimberly Price and husband, Edward, Drake Castille, Leonard Castille, Ami Castille, Andree' Simon Meche and husband, Anthony, Lloyd Meaux, Victoria Castille Ellsworth and husband, Jason, Brandon Castille, Magdalene Arsement, Maureen Arsement, Matthew Arsement, Mary Grimball, and Sarah Grimball; and great-grandchildren, Spencer Castille, Ariel Castille, Michael Castille, III, Page Castille, Courtney Castille, Kylie Castille, Emilie Castille, Keenan Price, Kaeden Henry, Evan Credeur, Brennen Stelly, Mia Meche, Brinley Castille, and Jude Castille.
Preceding Mr. Castille in death were his wife, Hilda Marie LeBleu Castille; parents, Leonard Castille and Zula Soileaux Castille; sons, Michael Castille Sr., Jerry Castille, Percy J. Castille Jr., and David Castille; great-grandson, Hunter Castille; twin brothers, Mayeus and Dayeus Castille; and sisters, Victoria Bourque and Leora Lejune.
Serving as pallbearers are Michael Castille Jr., Skeet Castille, Drake Castille, Leonard Castille, Brandon Castille, and Matthew Arsement. Honorary pallbearers are Wayne Castille, Calvin Castille, Allen Castille, and all his great-grandsons.
