The Crowley Garden Club presented its residential Garden of the Month Award for the months of July and August to Rodney Istre, whose home is located on Lagrange Street.
The Civic Beautification Award for the months of July and August was given to Beaux Plaza. On hand to receive the award were, from left Edmund Habetz, Cheryl Habetz and Christian Patin.

The Civic Beautification Award was given to La. Church Interiors, located on North Parkerson Ave. On hand to accept the award were, from left, owners Tina and Dr. Ted Reaux.
Receiving the Garden of the Month honor were Norris and Faye Perry, whose home is in Hockaday Heights.
The Civic Beautification award was presented to Linda Lavergne of Hair, Tanning and Beyond on North Parkerson. With the award-winning flower bed is Leann Olivier, who tends it.

The Civic Beautification Award for the month of March was presented to First Baptist Church, located on East Fourth Street. Kim Gielen Gattle received the March Garden of the Month Award for her residence on East Fourth Street.

The Crowley Garden Club recently held its monthly meeting at Southwind Assisted Living. For the second year in a row, the club members brought everything the residents would need to create their own floral designs for a competitive flower show. Among those participating in this year’s “flower show” were, seated from left, Southwind residents Mary Ann Sagrera, Sherlene Robichaux, Enez Marx and Martha Bordelon; standing, CGC members Sissy Gall, Sandra Pruitt, Barbara delaHoussaye, Kathy Sherwood, Sammy Reggie III, Myra Broussard and Virginia Duson; Southwind resident Lottie Keith; and CGC members Jackie Fogleman, Isabella delaHoussaye and Georgie Petitjean.
The winner of the Mardi Gras design category in the “flower show” held by the Crowley Garden Club at Southwind Assisted Living this year was Mildred Landry.
Mary Ann Sagrera took first place in the Valentine’s Day design category.
