One of the first tickets to the 12th annual “Taste of Crowley” was sold last week to Bobby Hanks, owner and CEO of Supreme Rice, presenting sponsor of the Thursday night event. The 12th Taste of Crowley will offer sweet and savory tastings from 13 of Crowley’s finest restaurants Those present for the ticket sale include, from left, Nancy Loewer, co-chair; Jill Habetz, chairman; Hanks, Patti Lawrence, decorations; and Connie John, past president.

Promising a tasty treat

The 12th Annual Taste of Crowley will be held Thursday, Nov. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Le Grand Hall in the heart of historic downtown Crowley.

Restoration and renovation of the Mull Bulding, situated between the Jack Miller Law offices on the left and Crowley City Hall on the right, is set to begin within the next couple of weeks. Owned by Ed and Cheryl Habetz, the façade of the building will be restored thanks, in part, to a Louisiana Main Street grant in the amount of $10,000.

Former Mull Building set for facelift

Another historic building in downtown Crowley will be restored thanks in part to a grant from Louisiana Main Street.
