‘Keep Christ in Christmas’ awards presented

Knights of Columbus Council #5499 recently presented awards to the winners of its annual Keep Christ in Christmas Poster Contest. The contest is held in an effort to remind youths of the real meaning of Christmas. There were 202 participants in this year’s contest, and all received certificates. First place winners received $50, second place winners received $40, third place winners received $30 and fourth place winners received $20. Winners included, seated from left, Annalyn Monk, first place, first-second grade division; Olivia Richard, second place, first-second grade division; Rita Wu, third place, first-second grade division; Saul Richard, fourth place, first-second grade division; Erin Domingue, first place, fourth-fifth grade division; Audrey Morgan, third place, fourth-fifth grade division; standing, John Hains, KC Council #5499 contest chairperson; KC Council #5499 Grand Knight Chad Hargrave; Ava Arceneaux, first place, sixth-seventh grade division; Emma Robichaux, second place, sixth-seventh grade division; Erika Hebert, third place, sixth-seventh grade division; Mary Gattle, fourth place, sixth-seventh grade division; and Fr. Jason Vidrine, pastor, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
