Prepared Childbirth Series to be offered at the Crowley library
During the month of August a Prepared Childbirth Series will be offered at the Acadia Parish Library in Crowley.
The classes will be presented by Sandra Arceneaux, RN, SNM, HBCE, who is working on a master’s degree in women’s health and midwifery through Frontier Nursing University. Arceneaux currently teaches childbirth and breast feeding classes at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
The series will cover what to expect during the three trimesters of pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period.
The classes are designed to teach normal and abnormal signs and symptoms during pregnancy and the postpartum period, the value of breast feeding, the importance of family planning and safe infant practices.
The classes will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 12, 19 and 26.
The series is free and open to the public, and registration is not required.
The library is located at 1125 N. Parkerson Ave.
