Drug arrests in Rayne

Chief of Police Carroll J. Stelly reports that narcotics investigators have been making headway on the fight of illegal drugs in Rayne.
Several drug related arrest have been made by Rayne Police Department’s Narcotics Agents after several months of investigation, according to Stelly.
“The agents have been working distribution sales within the Rayne city limits and will continue to focus on the individuals who supply these addictive drugs,” he said. “More arrest are expected in the near future.”
Recent arrests include:
• Cheryl Cormier, 31, Patricia Street, Rayne: distribution of Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine); possession of Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine); possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a school zone, $32,500 bond
• Gardinal Hulin, 30, Patricia Street, Rayne: distribution of Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), $25,000 bond
• Gina Williams, 37, Abbeville Highway, Rayne: distribution of Schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine), $25,000 bond
