Jewelry store burglary nets single arrest
A Lafayette man faces numerous charges after the burglary of a Crowley jewelry store.
According to Police Chief Jimmy Broussard, police responded to an alarm at Brandt’s Jewelry in the early morning hours of Friday, Sept. 6.
Broussard said a quick review of surveillance video resulted in the arrest of Dustin Blackman, 21, of Lafayette.
Blackman was charged with simple burglary, resisting an officer, obstruction of justice and multiple outstanding warrants.
He was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
