Six area families will enjoy Thanksgiving dinner complete with all the trimmings — including dessert — thanks to the generosity of the staff of Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation of Crowley in cooperation with the ASSIST Agency of Acadia Parish. The food was delivered to ASSIST in multiple containers recently to be sorted and delivered to “those most in need,” said Cory Gatte, administrator. Work on the long-awaited handicapped-access ramp at Levy Park is under way. The ramp is located about mid-block on North Avenue I between East Third and East Fourth streets.
