Leo Anthony LaCroix Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, at a 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Leo Anthony LaCroix Sr., 81, who died Wednesday Feb. 15, 2017, at residence in Rayne.
Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2 in Rayne.
Rev. Kevin Bordelon, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include wife, Carol Jean Leger LaCroix of Rayne; two daughters, Margaret LaCroix Gilbert and husband Chad of Rayne and Janet LaCroix Reed and husband Scott of Rayne; son, Paul Allen LaCroix Sr. of Rayne; six grandchildren, Sara T. LaCroix and companion Guillermo Valdez, Victoria LaCroix Breen and husband Devin, Amy Dysart Credeur and husband Matthew, Michael Dysart, Casey Gilbert and wife Katelyn and Paul LaCroix Jr.; two brothers, Martin LaCroix and wife Mona of Rayne and Alex LaCroix Jr. and wife Linda of Rayne; five great-grandchildren, Ella Breen, Joaquin Valdez, Annabelle Credeur, Kinley Credeur and Remy Breen.
He was preceded in death by son, Leo Anthony LaCroix Jr.; parents, Alex LaCroix Sr. and Claudia Cormier LaCroix; three brothers, Francis LaCroix, Cleo LaCroix and Rufus LaCroix Sr.; and four sisters, Irene LaCroix Junot, Claudette LaCroix Richard, Dorothy LaCroix Duhon and Rose LaCroix Fontenot.
Leo was a member and sponsor of Ducks Unlimited for many years and enjoyed camping with all his friends with Cruisin Cajuns.
A Rosary will be prayed Friday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne on Friday, Feb. 17, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Tonina “Nina” B. Johnson

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point for Mrs. Tonina “Nina” B. Johnson, 49, with Rev. Clint Trahan as celebrant. Visitation will begin in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel-Crowley at 9 a.m. on Friday until just prior to service time. Interment will follow the church service and will be in Abshire Cemetery in Kaplan. Nina passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, in Mobile, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace Johnson Jr. of Crowley; son, Dylan J. St. Amant and husband Jude St. Amant of Abbeville; grandson, Brentin St. Amant; sisters, Jody Guidry and husband Wendell of Lyons Point and Patricia Broussard and husband Clay of St. Amant; uncles, Gerald Mouton of Crowley and Lercy Matthews of Orange, Texas; niece, Alisha Faith Broussard of St. Amant; nephew, Rusty Broussard of St. Amant; and a host of other family.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents, Weston Bertrand and Audrey Mouton Bertrand; sister, Debra Bertrand; paternal grandparents, Ones Bertrand and Ada Thibodeaux Bertrand; and maternal grandparents, Jules Mouton Sr. and Blezine Fritz Mouton.
Carrying Nina to her final resting place will be Jude St. Amant, Daniel Broussard, Rusty Broussard, Bradley Dronet, Mark Leleux and Ryan Hayes. Honorary pallbearer will be Brentin St. Amant.

Francis “Satch” Regan

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Francis “Satch” Regan announces his passing on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at the Encore Health Care Rehabilitation Center in Crowley at the age of 78.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Rite of Committal followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery with Father Jude Thierry as celebrant.
Francis known as “Satch” was a happy man who was loved by many. He was a graduate of St. Francis High School, a rancher, owner of the Boot and Spur Ranch, he worked and supplied stock for rodeos, and at one time he owned the Roundup Lounge in Egan. In his later years he became an artist and loved babysitting his grandchildren. Everyone called him and his twin brother “Legends.”
A loving father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather, Francis will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him, especially his four children, Michael Regan of Eunice, Trudy Regan LeDoux of The Woodlands, Texas, Jeff Regan and wife Lanell of Iota and Chris “Red” Regan of Iota; his brother, Carl Regan and twin brother, Freddy Regan, both of Egan; his two sisters, Delores Cart of Sulphur and Carolyn Durst of Woodstock, Georgia; 16 grandchildren, William Crochet, LaKesha Regan, Heidi Regan, Megan Witt, Heath LeDoux, James Leger, Holly Cart, Taylor Crochet, Blaze Regan, Bailey Regan, Jenna Regan, Justus Regan, Kolby Regan, Rose Regan, Ty Regan and Christian Fontenot; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Ethel Leger Regan.
At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Sunday, Feb. 5, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and again on Monday, Feb. 6, from 8 a.m. until time of services. Cursillo Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Thibodeaux, Graf to wed March 25

Robert Dale and Joni Thibodeaux of Midland, along with Julie Graf of Crowley, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Carli Rae Thibodeaux and John Philip Graf, both of Baton Rouge.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Ethel Thibodeaux of Midland and the late Emery Thibodeaux and the late James and Ella Ray of Lake Charles. She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and Louisiana State University, and she is presently employed by Covalent Logic in Baton Rouge.
The prospective groom is the son of the late Philip John Graf. His paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Graf, and his maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Rosenbaum of Crowley and the late Paul Broussard. A graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he is currently a student at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University and will graduate in May.
An engagement party was held at the home of Mike and Flo Faulk and was well attended by both family and friends.
The couple will be wed on Saturday, March 25, during a 6 p.m. ceremony officiated by Frs. Charles McMillin and Randall Moreau at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings.
Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Lafayette.

Donald O. “Dan” Daigle

A memorial service will be held Friday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. at Northside Assembly of God in Crowley for Donald O. “Dan” Daigle, 76, who died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017, in Crowley.
Pastor Ryan Post will be officiating for the services.
Mr. Daigle proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Martin Daigle of Iota; three sons, Damon Daigle of Iota, Todd Spell of Iota and Phillip Daigle of Crowley; one brother, Dean Daigle of Egan; two sisters, Patricia Stanford of Egan, and Jeanelle LeJeune of Thibodeaux; two granddaughters, Hannah Guillory and her husband Kelly of Iota and Brianne Elizabeth Spell of Iota; two grandsons, Blake Spell of Iota and Brett Spell of Iota; and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Joseph and Ethel “Dot” Daigle.

Rosalie Fontenot Gobert

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Rosalie Fontenot Gobert, 82, who died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley.
Fr. Clint Trahan, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours be held Monday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening. Interment will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Mrs. Gobert is survived by three daughters, Marlene Thibodeaux and her husband Randy of Crowley, Lisa Simon and her husband Chad of Lafayette and Melissa Broussard and her husband George of Paulina; two sons, Vernon Gobert Jr. and his wife Tina of Crowley and Ernel Gobert of Crowley; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gobert Sr.; one great-grandchild, Zelda Grace Millet; and her parents, Abner and Versey Fontenot.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Encore Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the loving care that was administered to Mrs. Gobert during her stay at their facility.

Elia Richard Trahan

A Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated for Elia Richard Trahan, 95, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, in the Duhon Funeral Home- Rayne Chapel with Deacon Cliff Tanner officiating. Visitation will begin on Monday, Feb. 6, at Duhon Funeral Home – Rayne Chapel – at 10 a.m., with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 p.m., until 10 p.m. and will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until just prior to the time of service. Interment will follow the chapel service and will be in Abshire Cemetery. Mrs. Trahan passed away on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.
She is survived by her children, Mary Helen Gary, Viola Picard, Rita Racca and her husband Donald, Tommy Mendoza, Terry Mendoza and his wife Terrie and Roger Trahan and his wife Marilyn, all of Scott; and 15 grandchildren.
Mrs. Trahan was preceded in death by her husband, Eustice Trahan; daughter, Alezene Trahan; son, Larry Mendoza; as well as her parents.
