The Acadia Parish Police Jury will see a minimum of three new faces when it is seated following elections at the end of this year.
Acadia Parish no longer has a seat on the Acadiana Planning Commission.
By a 4-3 vote at its July meeting, the Acadia Parish Police Jury decided to withhold its annual dues to the APC.
It’s been a couple of months since the Acadia Parish Police Jury voted 4-3 with one abstention to grant MedExpress Ambulance Service a permit to operate ground units in the parish.
An ordinance that would allow the parish — if money becomes available —to address derelict and blighted properties in the unincorporated areas of Acadia was adopted here Tuesday night.
