Notre Dame shortstop Sydnei Simon will continue her academic and athletic career at LSUE beginning in the fall. Simon, who played shortstop and pitched for the Lady Pios in 2018 during their run to the Division III state title, hit .467 with 25 RBI during her junior campaign. Notre Dame catcher Matt Abshire will continue his academic and athletic career at Panola College in Carthage, Texas beginning in the fall. Abshire hit .378 with 21 RBI in 2018 during the Pios’ run to the Division III state championship.
