The City of Crowley “Welcome” sign at the intersection of East Hutchinson and Eastern Avenue has been repaired and re-installed. The sign was badly damaged when it was hit by a car. However, all of the major pieces were retrieved, repaired and repainted. From left, Street Commissioner Gilbert Onezine, Robert Fontenot and Quinten Istre replace the sign.

Kendall Dommert, 18-year-old daughter of Kim and Chad Dommert of Egan, is crowned 2023 Acadia Parish Farm Bureau Queen during ceremonies recently at the Farm Bureau Office here. Crowning the new royalty is the 2022 Queen, Daegan Castille. A student at UL Lafayette, Dommert will represent Acadia at the annual Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Convention in New Orleans this June as well as at events throughout the parish and area during her reign.
