On Wednesday, March 20, Neesie’s Sweet Dough Pies held their grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony at their new facility located at 114 E. 9th St. in Crowley. Three Notre Dame seniors were recognized at the CYLA Diocese of Lafayette banquet on Monday, March 18. Council 5499 winners are Zack Hebert and Mary Himel, center and left. Included with them is Egan Knights Council 6959 winner, Alex Welch. Hebert was chosen as the Diocese of Lafayette overall boy winner and will be competing at the state level on April 6 in Baton Rouge. Hebert is a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church in Crowley. Himel is a parishioner of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Rayne. Welch is a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oakdale.
John Melvin University students recently completed their first semester in the newly adopted quarter system.
