William Lyn Baker

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for William Lynn Baker, Sr., 64, who died August 31, 2017 at Lafayette General Hospital.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard, Crowley Police Chief will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 11 a.m. to the time of service. Police service honors will be held at the Crowley Police Department following the services.
He worked as Reserve Commander for the Crowley Police Department and a deputy for the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Danielle Doucet Baker; his children, Floyd Francis “T-Boy” Baker, Sr., Mary Baker, William Lynn “T-Lynn” Baker, Charles Ray “T-Ray” Baker, Sr., Chassidy Ibsen, Candis Trahan Daigle, Billy Wayne Trahan, Cody Jones Trahan, Caroline Elena Baker, and Dakota Gerald Baker; one brother, Jeffery Baker; nineteen grandchildren, T-Jay, Gabriel, Alexa, C-Jay, Bonnie, Lynnie, Zachary, Brycen, Gavin, Cameron, Kaleeb, Noah, Hunter, Blaze, Nathan, Matthew, Mary, Isaac, and Laikyn.
Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Myrtle Benoit Baker; and nine siblings, Roland Pinion, Donald Pinion, Charles Pinion, Barbara “Bobbie” Pinion Broussard, Ronald Pinion, Jerry Baker, Mona “Monnie” Baker Davis, Alice Baker Duhon, and Willis James “Jimmy” Baker.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the prayers and support during this time. Most of all they would like to thank the doctors, I.C.U. nurses, and the staff of Lafayette General Hospital for the tender and compassionate care that was given to Lynn.

Talton Lois Jones

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 4, 2017 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel for Talton Lois Jones, 35, who died August 31, 2017 at Lafayette General Hospital.
Rev. Jimmy Broussard, pastor of First Presbyterian Church will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Talton worked at the Crowley Recreation Department. He was a coach, umpire, and referee for all sports. Talton also was coaching baseball at Crowley Middle School.
He is survived by his wife, Trinda Kelly Jones; two daughters, Alexia Joy Jones, and Gracie May Jones; one son, Blayce Michael Jones; his parents, Richard and Jacquelin Saltzman Jones; five brothers, Chip Jones, Richard Wayne Jones and his wife, Stephanie, Grady Jones and his husband, Randy Hoffpauir, Mickey Jones and his wife, Jill, and Trinity “Boss” Jones and his companion, Desiree Sanchez; his godmother, Shelley Shedd, and his godfather, Bruce Cordick.
Talton is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Talton and Ruby Saltzman; his paternal grandparents, Lois and Colleen Jones; two aunts, Mary Nola Lindley, Delores Saltzman,and Sandra Baglio; five uncles, Dale Saltzman, Wayne Saltzman, Mack Shedd, Curtis Aucoin and Tony Lima; two cousins, Sheri Mire, and Karen Saltzman.
Pallbearers will be Blayce, Chip, Grady, Mickey, Richard, and Trinity “Boss” Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Nickolas Jones, Kyle Deville, Alex Jones, Seth Jones, Jude Jones, Zein Deville, and Brentlyn Witherington.
Talton had a loving and generous spirit. It was his, and his family’s decision to donate life. His continuous giving through organ donation will touch the lives of many people.

Jo Ann Broussard

Memorial Services will be held for Jo Ann Broussard, 56, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in the Duhon Funeral Home- Crowley Chapel with Brother Linford Whitaker officiating. Mrs. Broussard passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at her sister’s home. Interment will be at a later date.
Mrs. Broussard is survived by her children, Monica Johnson and her husband, Phillip of Crowley, LA, Shelly Brown and her husband, Howard of Shreveport, LA, Lisa Broussard of Abbeville, LA, Peggy Marvin and her husband, Chad of Mermentau, LA; grandchildren, Arielle Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Nicholas McCracken, Zykia Johnson, Kylan Francis, Ariana Guidry, Derrick McCracken, Zac McCracken, Nicholas Brown, Ty Champagne, Nikki Hollier, Jacob Lodrigue,Josh Lodrigue, Hunter Marvin and Gabby Marvin; great-grandchildren, Levi Lodrigue, Wyatt Broussard and Pariis Brooks; brothers, Odie Broussard, Jr., Alfred Schexneider, Dudley Schexneider and his wife, Cindy, Larry Schexneider and Lawrence Schexneider and his companion, Diane; sisters, Lora Welch and her husband, Calvin, Odelia Simoneaux and her husband, Kendall, Joyce Bellard and her husband, A C, Rosemary Brown and her husband, Donald, Mary Jane Schexneider, Sarah Daville and Cheryl Daville; step mother, Laura Broussard.

Richard O. Patin

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Richard O. Patin on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Acadia General Hospital in Crowley at the age of 92. A Requiem Funeral Mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 1 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota. Entombment followed in the St. Joseph Mausoleum with Father Francis Miller, OSM Celebrant.
Richard served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He was retired from the oil field but most of all he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. It’s hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Helen LeJeune Patin of Iota; two daughters, Patricia Gotte and husband, Lee of Westlake and Delia Faye Cart of Iota; his brother, Louis Patin, Jr of Evangeline; his sister, Marjorie Decker of Evangeline; his nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by three sons, David Bryan Patin, John Bourgeois and Wayne Verret; his parents, Louis and Agnes Bellard Patin
At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Iota on Thursday, August 31 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again on Friday, September 1st from 8 a.m. until time of services. A Rosary was recited at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Anthony Hebert

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Anthony Hebert, 87, who passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 7:52 A.M. at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.
Pastor Berl Adams will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in LeBlanc Cemetery in Midland, La.
The family has requested the visitation to be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 4:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M. in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. A Rosary will be recited on Friday at 6:30 in the evening in the Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 A.M. until time of services.
Survivors include his wife of sixty five years, Gertrude D. Hebert of Lake Charles; one daughter, Darlene and husband, Mike Rollins of Lake Charles; three sons, Frank and wife, Mitzi Hebert of Iota, Stanley “Tony” and wife, Brenda Hebert of Lake Charles and Lennis and wife, Kim Hebert of Iota; one sister, Cecile Simar of Iota; one brother, Dudley Hebert of Basile; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hebert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eugenia Hebert of Iota; two brothers and one sister.
Pall Bearers for the services will be Spencer Hebert, James Schadler, Scotty Schadler, Hunter Hebert, Dustin Hebert, Colby Hebert and Travis Hebert.
